Twelve photographs from the four personal projects, printed and signed in small editions. Two sizes, unframed, on heavy cotton rag.

The prints

Every print is made here in Glasgow on a twelve-ink pigment printer, on 310 gsm cotton rag with a natural white base and a matte surface. Cotton rag is not the cheapest paper and it is the only one worth using for these pictures: it holds a long tonal run in the greys without going flat, and it has enough tooth that a concrete wall reads as a surface rather than as a shade.

Sheets are torn rather than trimmed, so each one carries a deckle edge, and every print is signed and numbered in pencil in the margin. Nothing is dry-mounted, laminated or face-glued — a print that has been stuck to something is a print you can never reframe.
